Why attend BOS cmc 2012?

Further develop skills in outsourcing through high quality, outsourcing focused presentations

Who Should Attend BOS cmc 2012?

BOS Events were established in 2006 to provide an outsourcing focused discussion forum and partnering meeting for biotech, pharma and the contract services community. The progamme content and structure of the event is particularly aimed at virtual biotech and semi-virtual biotech who depend on strong, successful outsourcing relationships from scale up into the clinic and later stages of CMC development. BOS cmc 2012 is relevant to R&D professionals with a role in the discreet outsourcing of CMC activities for small molecules and biopharmaceuticals spanning drug substance, drug analytics, drug product, regulatory requirements and quality controls.

BOS Event Formula

1 day in duration BOS cmc 2012 will consist of 3 core elements including: Presentations delivered by leading industry professionals and focused on outsourcing: Partnering, 1 to 1 meetings running in parallel to the programme and facilitated by use of partnering software made available to all attendees (participation in partnering meetings is optional and completely at the delegates discretion): Networking, our schedule for the day has evolved over the last 5 years to include ample time for informal networking with a Partnering breakfast from 8 to 9.30, an extended lunch period from 12.30 to 2pm and our popular wrap up drinks reception from 5pm onwards! So plenty of time to network and partner formally and informally.

BOS cmc 2012 small molecule track

Our small molecule track for 2012 will cover early CMC activities into later stages of clinical CMC development. Presentations will cover drug substance outsourcing, drug product formulation strategies and pharmaceutical developability (utlising QbD), outsouring CMC regulatory requirements for NCE's, oral delivery of peptides and future trends shaping CMC outsourcing. The programme will focus largely on NCE (New Chemical Entity) CMC challenges.

BOS cmc 2012 biologics track

The planned programme for our biologics track has been developed to address key issues in biologics CMC outsourcing and will cover topics including; trends and future challenges in biologics drug product outsourcing, challenges and opportunities presented by outsourcing analytical and formulation assays, CRO/CMO selection and relationship management strategies for drug product formulation, prefered supplier partnerships from a pharma perspective and technology transfer challenges as a compound progresses into later stage clinical trials.

Shared Plenary Session to Close the Programme 4-5pm

Our final session of the day between 4pm and 5pm will see both tracks come together for a plenary session to explore case studies in CMC outsourcing. Set against a backdrop of big pharma restructuring, biotech downsizing, CRO/CMO consolidation and a surge in strategic and prefered supplier outsourcing we will be asking biotech, pharma and CRO participants to share perspective and approaches on encouraging innovation in CMC outsourcing.
