Introduction to Bio2Business

Bio2Business Limited hosts Business to Business partnering events for the pharmaceutical industry. The broad remit of our events is to facilitate matchmaking between commercial parties operating in the pharmaceutical sector, for example between buyers and suppliers of pharmaceutical outsourcing services. By its very nature this function requires the sharing of personal information between participating individuals. Prospective participants of Bio2Business events are advised to understand the broad remit of our events in relation to the sharing of their personal information. Disclosure of limited personal information such as the basic personal information published in the attendee lists are mandatory whereas more detailed sharing of participant personal information, such as sharing of business opportunities, are available to participants on an opt-in basis. This document describes in more detail the personal information we collect, how and why we use it and how it is safeguarded. Bio2Business events as strictly Business to Business events are not available to consumers. Bio2Business events take the form of physical and virtual events.

Bio2Business can modify this Privacy Policy, and if we make any material changes to it, we will provide notice through our website, or by any other appropriate means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. 3.2.1. We will use the data provided by participants during registration to publish information on the event website which will create the essential content for the events to function. This includes (but is not limited to), attendee list, delegate profiles, speaker profiles, business opportunities and more. The availability of this information will be restricted to other individuals who have registered for the specific event. Sharing of business opportunities such as outsourcing requirements may result in your personal information being shared outside of the European Union. Our website has been designed to require your consent when sharing your personal details in this way.

3.2.2. Event Development: We will analyse your data to evaluate your potential interest and suitability to be a speaker at the event or a future event. In addition to this we may use your data in a limited capacity to promote the event (such as communicating participating speakers to prospective participants or prospective speakers).

3.2.3. We may utilise video or photographic media to record images of the event so that we can market and promote our events in the future. Where we have taken photos and videos at our events that feature you, those photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes.

3.2.4. We may utilise badge scanning technology to manage the recording of your attendance on the day of the event and your movement around the event venue.

3.2.5. Exhibitors may utilise badge scanning technology during our event to request your personal data for their processing should you visit their stand or interact with their Poster submissions. In this circumstance you will have the opportunity to consent or decline this request.

3.3. Marketing

We may use your personal information to send you promotional communications which we have assessed as being relevant to your professional activities. Depending on your interactions with us you may have consented to receiving marketing communications from us (opted in) or we may be entitled to rely on your implied consent or legitimate interests to market to you. We commit to providing a mechanism with each communication sent to you, to allow you to opt out of receiving marketing communication. You can also manage this in your account settings.

For purposes of marketing, we utilise specific social media channels including Linkedin and Twitter. We may use your personal information to create and publish promotional material on these social media channels (personal information would be limited to your name, job title and company affiliation in addition to event specific content such as presentation title).

As part of our marketing activities we present registered event participants with the opportunity to refer our events to data subjects unknown to us. This process involves the submission of the data subjects name and email address on a digital form supplied by us. On the completion of this data submission and dispatch to recipients, no data of the unknown data subject will be stored by us.

3.4. Website and Email Campaign Analytics:

When you use our websites, our system may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and or browser type for system administration. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify you personally.

In addition we may use technologies contracted from third parties which utilise tracking software to follow your journey through our websites. This does not identify your personal information.

We may use tracking technologies to analyse your interaction with our websites when you are logged in to our websites and resources.

Our marketing related emails utilise technologies to tell is whether emails are opened and to analyse any clicks through to links within the email. We may use this information to guide us regarding our services which may best match your requirements. If you have purchased an event package, including on a trial basis or on a complimentary basis, we will use your personal information to provide you with the product or service and to communicate with you about it.

6.2. A right to request access to your personal data. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
